Hi Everyone
As we expected it has been a very busy week so far. We have our legal team and one of our key partners, Patagonia up on site with our fieldwork team. We have seen first hand clear evidence of logging happening right now. We have been followed and even filmed by Forestry Commission staff and we were escorted away from an active logging site.
We have been to the site of the existing windfarm and it was an utterly depressing experience for all of us. As you can see in the picture, it doesn’t really get bleaker than that. The scale of the clear felling is vast and the constant noise from the turbines is very unsettling. What struck us all is the amount of human disturbance. At one point we saw 5 vehicles coming and going from the wind farm site and all have to travel through the forest. The level of disturbance is difficult to ever exaggerate and remember this is right in the middle of the wildcat mating season. We are deeply concerned for the upcoming wildcat breeding season.
Having seen the destruction and disturbance first hand everyone involved is more determined than ever to stop both the second wind farm and the continuous commercial logging. This is a fight we can and must win.
Our crowdfunder is still live so please support our legal campaign if you can at:

Legal action is the best chance we have of saving this forest and it’s priceless wildcats.
As always thanks for your support.
