Hi Everyone
It has been a fantastic week for our campaign with progress made on all fronts. Our legal team have been on site and are as concerned and upset as we are by the destruction that is taking place. Legal work is now underway to put a stop to this. Of course we can't give specific details now but will provide more details as soon as we can. We spent a lot of time visiting and meeting the local community who live in and around the forest and it is fair to say that we have been met with overwhelming support and assistance. Our week culminated in a public meeting in Gartly Community Hall which is just outside the forest. It was very well attended and the event was due to finish before 9pm, but due to the level of interest and discussion, it was getting on for 10pm before we finished. Always a good sign when an event overruns. There was a great exchange of information and ideas and a real willingness by all to pull together to make this campaign work. We have also had a number of local people come forward to volunteer on our project which is amazing.
We are all exhausted but extremely satisfied with progress and more determined than ever to achieve our aims and save this beautiful forest and it's priceless wildcats.
Once again thanks again for all the support. This petition has been game changing as it gives us an unprecedented public mandate to move forward and people are really starting to take notice.
