Petition: Hold Monopoly GO Accountable for Violating Fair Play and Exploiting Players Through Microtransactions and Rigged Gameplay

We, the undersigned, are players and concerned consumers who demand accountability from Scopely, the developer of Monopoly GO, for unethical practices that directly violate the spirit and terms of fair gameplay.

Our Concerns:
Rigged Gameplay & Predetermined Outcomes

Events advertised as chance-based, such as Peg-E (Peg-O), have been shown through user-generated videos to be rigged or predetermined, misleading players into thinking they have a fair shot at winning.
The illusion of chance is used to manipulate users into spending more dice or money, undermining trust and transparency.
Use of Bots to Mimic Human Behavior

Scopely has admitted to using human-like bots in Monopoly GO, which creates false competition. These bots are not real players but are programmed to manipulate gameplay outcomes and encourage more spending by simulating difficulty.
This tactic exploits users by creating pressure to "beat" fake opponents, pushing players toward unnecessary in-app purchases.
Microtransaction Exploitation & Lack of Refund Policy

Players have reported spending thousands of dollars on their accounts, only to have them banned without warning or reason, and without a clear path to recovery or refund.
Many affected users have not violated any community guidelines and have received no explanation or due process—a serious breach of consumer rights.
Unilateral Account Bans
