Justice for Victims of Mattaus

A boy at Southside High School, believed to be name Mattaus, followed a girl into the bathroom and began to sexually assault her, touching her boobs, butt, etc. She came out and told her boyfriend and her friends what happened causing him to get jumped. After the jumping, many students reported the assault to Southside High School administrators who did nothing.

To add to the burn of the issue, because they did not want Mattaus to get jumped again, administrators began to walk him from class to class, not allowing any student to talk or confront him outside of classes. This caused even more issues as they already knew what happened with the boy.

 About a day later, even more girls began to come out about Mattaus assaulting them. Once again, students told the administrators at Southside High School, who still refused to do anything.

A few more days past after the incidents, when students and parents began to receive information about Mattaus and his friends bringing multiple guns to school. While the school did investigate the situation and found 3 guns on campus, they took the weapons and sent Mattaus back to class. Later, they released an email saying that the gun rumor was a hoax. 2 students were present when the guns were found and had been hearing all about it, confirming there was no hoax. 

Southside High School has failed to keep students safe multiple times because of Mattaus. He still has not been sent to DPA or expelled for his actions. This petition is to show the school, we are not something that is disposable. Create justice for Mattaus’s victims.
