Ridge Street School, especially as climates are beginning to rise, needs air conditioning so the kids are not suffering from the persistent high temperatures that summer is beginning to bring. Constant heat negatively impacts students ability to properly and effectively complete their class work and makes everybody in the building less enthusiastic about the school environment. I often hear my classmates complaining that our school has no ways for the older kids to cool down. The trailers, that only hold pre-k to 3rd grade, do have air conditioning provided for the younger kids, but the older kids deserve cooler classrooms as well, even more so because we are on the higher floors; grades 4-8th all don't have any AC's. Our classrooms can reach even higher than one hundred degrees and we currently have no way to stop that. I am asking only for your signature for the benefit of our learning environment. Help this school petition for air conditioning so our staff and students don't have to sit in the blistering heat throughout the entire school day.
