School transport
Why this petition matters

Help me get to school!
I am in year seven at Bennett Memorial School and I love going to school. I was given a place by Kent County Council and now KCC are withdrawing my school bus, meaning it will now be a much more expensive and difficult journey and a much longer one. This is if I am able to get there by public transport at all, as the one remaining bus from my town to my school will be over capacity and leaves at 7:02am and arrives near my school at 8:40am. Not only will this decision be bad for me and give me a really long, complicated journey, but also the environment as more cars will be on the road causing more fumes and more traffic jams. This doesn’t affect just me, but hundreds of school children just trying to get to school. After the last couple of years, we were just beginning to feel a bit settled, and now I’m worried about how I will get to school in year 8. I have already experienced changing schools in primary school and it was really hard and I don’t want to have to do that at secondary school. Please help me reverse this decision and get to school safely!
