The Livestock Bill 2023 proposed by the Ministry defines live animals as “commodity”, and defines livestock to include “canines and felines”. 

The bill goes against the very policy it stated stringently against the slaughter of cows as they are holy. This is not the India we want to show the future generations. 

These animals will be at the receiving end of a few senseless mindsets and subjected to cruelty beyond imagination, causing not only an imbalance in sensitivity and sensibility, but also in the environment.
