This Wal-Mart is to be built next Rylander Elementary school. Please sign and help stop this from happening in our neighborhood. 

SAFETY; This will compromise the security in the area. Due to budget cuts; high school, junior high (one mile) and elementary school students (half mile) must walk or bike. This store and the nine bay gas station will be in thier path to and from school five days a week. No consideration for the students or the parents was given when this land was accquired.  The risk for potential harm from this developement are not worth the dangers.

CRIME; The location is too close to the school for comfort. Theft and opportunity for criminal activity comes with any retail store but, to have it brought to the steps of an elementary school and mere feet from neighboring homes is shameful.

TRAFFIC; How can this two lane road support traffic from the current population, new homes going up, the apartments about to be built, bus barn expansion, and now a Wal-mart Express and gas station as well? The area was given a 'D' rating by the traffic study yet, Wal-mart sees fit to shoehorn thier way in regardless of how much more traffic this store will cause.

As a community we can raise our voices against Lovett Commercial and Walmart. This is where we live! The mentality of "if we build it, they will come" is over! 

There is the Walmart on Fry Rd., Katy Mills Wal-Mart, and the new Wal-mart at Bella Terra at S. 99. Plus; the Super Target, Kroger, three HEBs, Randall's, and Whole Foods all within five miles.  

Enough is enough!
