Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is one of the most important protected area and is home to numerous bird species, located in Rajasthan, but its on the verge of degradation because of human activities. Its a heaven for birders and naturalist as it has a mosaic of many habitats and is home to more than 350 species of birds and many animals like jackals, hyenas, spotted deer,sambar deer and many more. The people managing this national park is making a zoo in the core area for transfer of blackbuck, fishing cats and many more but in this process they are endangering many species dependant on that piece of habitat destroyed by them. This is a major issue in Bharatpur Bird sanctuary said by the locals as well as the guides there. They told me that they don't have much power to make a change but we can cause this can lead to local extinction of many species of birds and animals.

the work has already started and JCB is working the whole day until 5pm.this is causing a lot of damage to the whole sanctuary. We need to stop this.
