We are a group of parents who are challenging the recent decision by the Education Authority to provide 2.5 hours per day for all children who are going to Special Needs provisions as of September 2016....for most SEN provisions this is a cut of 50%...from 5 hours to 2.5 hours. Our children are due to start nursery in September and we very much want for them to go to a specialist provision. Not only should they be receiving their education but they should also be receiving their speech, physio and occupational therapy in nursery .....not to mention all of the social opportunities. .....in 2.5 hours we cannot see how this is possible. Please support us in our fight to stop cuts to special educational needs nursery hours.
