The Issue

Say NO to a Concrete Plant Near Homes, Farms, and the Canal at Delacour Golf Club

We, the residents, families, landowners, and supporters of Delacour, Alberta, are strongly opposed to the proposed concrete plant development on residential land near the canal by Delacour Golf Club.

This industrial project does not belong in the middle of a residential and rural community. A concrete plant would permanently change the character, safety, and environmental health of our area.

Our concerns include:

  • Increased heavy truck traffic on local roads, creating safety risks for families, children, golfers, cyclists, and farmers
  • Air pollution, dust, and noise affecting nearby homes, acreages, and agricultural land
  • Potential contamination risks to the canal and surrounding environment
  • Decreased property values for residents who chose Delacour for its peaceful rural lifestyle
  • Disruption to the natural beauty and recreational experience surrounding Delacour Golf Club
  • Long-term industrial impact on a community never intended for heavy industrial operations
  • Delacour is a place where families live, people enjoy nature, and neighbours support one another.
  • Allowing industrial concrete operations beside residential land sets a dangerous precedent and threatens the future of our community.

We are calling on local decision-makers and municipal authorities to reject this proposal,  and protect the health, safety, environment, and quality of life of Delacour residents.

Please sign this petition to stand with our community and say:

NO to a concrete plant on residential land in Delacour, Alberta.

Protect our homes. Protect our environment. Protect Delacour.
