We the undersigned would ask the Council to re-consider the proposed plan and cease to implement a Low Traffic Neighbourhood Scheme in this area.

BY SIGNING THIS PETITION WE CONFIRM THAT WE LIVE/WORK OR HAVE A CONNECTION TO THE AREA, IN THAT WE HAVE FRIENDS/FAMILY THAT LIVE HERE OR CHILDREN THAT GO TO SCHOOL IN THE SCHEME AREA. I CONSENT TO MY DETAILS BEING SHARED WITH NEWHAM COUNCIL.

Contrary to the benefits proposed, we believe implementation will impact upon us negatively in a myriad of ways but not limited to:

• Increased Pollution
• Increased journey times in and out of the design area (Romford Road, Vicarage Lane, Upton Lane, Portway) 
• Increase fuel consumption, traffic jams and road rage
• Negative impact on all our daily lives together with both physical and mental health. 
• Added pressure for the elderly and people living with disabilities that rely on carers visiting them at home.
• Added pressure on people that live/work or have children at school that use the roads within and outside the boundary of the scheme.
  Impact on businesses, directly linking to reduced footfall and reduced spend

The scheme will impact ability to facilitate funeral services that are regularly held within the design area for all faiths.

The Council has not conducted a proper consultation with the residents and has been found extremely difficult to access and navigate by even the tech aware and excludes a large section of the community from having their voice heard.
