HB 2847 has been signed into law!

Dear supporter,

I am regretfully announcing that on Friday, June 14th,  Govenor Greg Abbott signed into law HB 2847 which consisted of the reduction of Barber and Cosmetology hours from 1500 to 1000.  This bill goes into effect on September 1, 2019.  I want to thank everyone of you for your collective efforts in attempting to maintaining the integrity of the Barber and Cosmetology profession.

The legislative session has ended for now but we must continue to be active by staying informed and by attending the TDLR Agenda meetings.  The TDLR meeting scheduled for June 25th has been canceled and a rescheduled date is pending.
