Cardinal Hill Swim & Racquet Club is attempting to construct a 155 foot cell tower on their property at 9117 Westerholme Way, Vienna, VA 22182 in partnership with Milestone Towers. A small contingent of the board, one of which is a retired/former telecom executive, brought this proposal forth earlier this year. 

The surrounding neighborhoods and families (250+ houses within 1,500 feet) will be absorbing the full impact of noise, increased traffic from construction / maintenance, and negative impact to property values (up to 20% decrease per National Association of REALTORS Association studies) for a small economic benefit to Cardinal Hill Members (only ~$60 per member family annually). Cell towers can also be dangerous, with pieces of the towers falling at times as well as producing other hazards that may endanger families (e.g., ice, fire). 

For Cardinal Hill members, committing a portion of the property to a permanent telecom facility could constrain the club's flexibility for decades and limit options for future expansion or other capital improvements. 

Vote "no" at the official Cardinal Hill vote to protect our families from this cell tower!
