Dear Eastern Community,

Your voice matters! The university is currently evaluating potential bookstore vendors, and this is our chance to speak up against Automatic Textbook Billing (ATB).

We need students to attend the Q&A sessions and directly ask vendors tough questions about their policies. ATB forces students into expensive textbook bundles without the option to shop elsewhere, and we must make it clear that we reject this system.

📢 How You Can Take Action:

✅ Attend the Q&A sessions and ask vendors why they support automatic textbook billing and how they plan to protect student choice.
✅ Tell them your concerns: Why should students be forced to pay for books they don’t need? Why does ATB limit affordability and flexibility?
✅ Email your questions and opposition to easternbookstorerfp@easternct.edu and CC the University President to make sure our voices are heard.

This is our chance to hold these vendors accountable and make it clear that students should have the right to choose where they buy their books. If we don’t speak up, we risk being locked into another unfair system.

Show up, ask tough questions, and make your voice heard!
