Dear Friends,

It’s been an extraordinary period of media coverage for the Save Arthurs Seat campaign. The best thing we can do now is forward this email to everyone we know, so they can learn from these media reports about the health and environmental dangers of the proposed quarry at Arthurs Seat:

The Age: Silica dust lawyer Op-Ed
A Current Affair: Local health impacts
The Age: Doctor’s health warning

And anyone can click here to sign our latest petition.

In our latest piece of media, Mornington Peninsula mother and dust disease legal expert, Tess Dickie, warns of the silicosis health dangers to the community if the quarry goes ahead: “Silicosis is a shocking, irreversible and often progressive lung disease. The potential hazard … could silently linger for a long time before we see people become ill.” Local children are at particular risk.

This is in addition to the irreparable damage to up to 94 acres of our last remaining remnant bushland and the harm that could inflict on koalas and other native animals.

The more people know about this, the more the public opposition will grow and key decision-makers will have to listen. These media reports tell our story. So don’t forget to build the power of our campaign by forwarding the email you received to your friends and family.

Thank you for your support,

P.S. You can also share this page with your friends and family. Here are those media stories again:
