The Issue
The 3 way intersection at Furnace Road and Cornell Road in Norwich Township is a death trap. People are being killed and injured due to insufficient signage and lighting. 2 teenagers were killed and 5 injured just on August 4th, 2023 again! These tragedies are preventable with half a day's work by the Township's Road Department.
Stop signs east and west bound are essential with a Beware of Stop being added at the top to the hill on Cornell Rd traveling east. Rumble strips are needed. Larger and digital speed limit signs are required on both the east and west sides of Cornell Rd. A large flashing caution light needs to be added at the top of the hill on Cornell Rd traveling east.
