Saving Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre

The Issue

To Our Cherished Community,

As you are aware, Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre (JCHAC) has been going through some turbulent and unexpected times with our landlords, the Rampen Family. We need your help to save JCHAC from an unjust eviction that threatens our mission and the services we provide to our community. Despite our best efforts to resolve this since March 2024, they have escalated to seizing the grounds, halting our operations.

Since 2009, JCHAC has been a sanctuary for underserved community members and artists, offering vital resources and programs. The loss of our current location at 1086 Burnhamthorpe Rd East would be devastating, particularly for those in the Autism community, Community Living Oakville, and the broader Halton/Peel Region. This dramatic shift would force us to relocate or alter our organization’s structure, irreparably affecting our ability to provide the support and education these groups rely on. These are the realities we face without your support.

JCHAC has no plans to close our doors. We, as a community of dedicated board members, staff, and volunteers, are standing strong to ensure a new and brighter future. But we cannot do this alone. We urgently need your help to fight this unlawful eviction and secure a future where we can continue our mission. Visit https://www.joshuacreekarts.com/how-can-you-help/ to make a donation with us, which will not only help us return to full operation, but also drive the research and development needed to enhance our offerings. Every bit of support makes all of the difference.

Join us in standing strong. Sign our petition and lend your voice to ensure JCHAC remains a beacon of support and creativity for our community. Together, we can overcome this challenge and continue to build on the legacy of support and education we’ve established since 2009.

In lieu of your outstanding support in these troubled times for us, we have set up a GoFundMe to help us return to operation, and to be able to have a space to call home. Any donation, big or small, makes the difference between a world with our mission, and a world without it. Please donate now to help us stand strong: https://gofund.me/4c44da1c

Thank you for your support,

The JCHAC Team
