#SaveOorMaryam Keep Maryam in Scotland where she belongs.

The Issue

Maryam has been resident in Scotland for over 6 years on a Spousal Visa. The Home Office has decided not to renew the Visa and send her back to Afghanistan. Maryam's husband is a British national thanks to his work as an interpreter for the British Army which he did after moving from here Afghanistan.

Maryam friends, colleagues and classmates strongly object to the proposed deportation. Maryam is an important member of our community. She works tirelessly supporting those people surrounding her and has earned her place in Scotland.

Maryam is a strong advocate for Women's Rights, particularly for the right to an educations. Her classmates recognise the impact she has had in the class and the future she has in Community Education. Maryam has a place in the University of Glasgow studying Community Development. This will support her to do even more work assisting communities in need. The Afghani women who are already residents in Scotland Call her the Wise One and her fellow students agree. Maryam is working with a women’s support group as a managing director. She is a wonderful example for others and a great role model for young women. she has spoken in Parliament defending the rights of women to have their voices heard and access education. This is why she teaches her local Community from ages 6 to 63.

We want Maryam to stay in Scotland where she is making the country a better place for everyone.
