We would love your support at today's meeting - when the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board will effectively decide the fate of the Devonport Peninsula Trust.
The meeting is at 10am, Tuesday 18 July (today) - and the more people in the public gallery and watching online, the more the local board may be persuaded to reconsider!

In person: Devonport-Takapuna Local Board, 1-7 The Strand, Takapuna

The Friends of Devonport Trust will present the petition just after 10am, and the Devonport Peninsula Trust are also giving a presentation.
A BRIEF RE-CAP:
After making budget cuts needed (the city's financial woes have been well-publicised, and some cuts were expected) - the local board has $98,000 earmarked for community development, activations, and events in the area from Devonport to Esmonde Rd. We are unclear why they intend to withdraw this funding from long-standing community partner, the Devonport Peninsula Trust, and instead use it to hire a new sole-charge 'community activator'.
THANK YOU!
Thank you again for your support. The Trust's future is in jeopardy, and your voice helps to give them their best chance of survival, by persuading the members of the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board to reconsider, and reinstate the $98k available funding to the Trust. .
