In our country thousands of people own American xl bully dogs but only less than half were able to register their bully due to all kinds of reasons that prevented them from saving their dogs, so this petition is to extend the registration time to allow people who were unable to register in time one last chance to register for exemption. What the government failed to explain when bringing in this new law is that if you were unable to register your bully before the 31st of janruary was that is was going to cost thousands of pounds to save your bully because police would place your bully in kennels costing £22 a day until you got a court date which could take up to 6 months, and procedings would only start once the police had custody of your bully, this is unacceptable and it was unfair to set a date so close to after Xmas when people would financially be struggling, thefore I state again we should be allowed more time to apply for exemption.
