Hello, Supporters,

In the beginning, when I started this petition on Sunday, I honestly didn't know if we'd get to 100 signatures. It was just me and a few other MFA grads at first. But then people started showing up and sharing. One hundred signatures seemed possible. Then 500, then 1000. And I started seeing the comments and understanding that our nationally known WVU MFA program in creative writing was important. Not just to me, but to many. This program has changed lives and helped give voice to the voiceless.

Help us get to 1500 signatures. I don't know if it will change the outcome, but we have to make sure that we fought as hard as we could to save this valuable local and national resources to writers around Appalachia and beyond.

This program has changed many lives,  including mine. Let's keep fighting to save it.
