375 homes to be built on land contaminated with arsenic asbestos lead acid Etc. It will cost hundreds and thousands to clear the site and the council are allowing this to take place. It has been known that st modwen never did the follow up asbestos report on the works land for Lidl which was shown in the first report to have asbestos in the ground. The council and st modwen are not responding requests of the reports from around the works site. It has been known for months now that arsenic has been used and buried by the east and west sides of all buildings in an attempt to stop the rats getting into the workshops more was used around the sheds where asbestos was used as the rats could move the asbestos around the site on their fur etc on the site arsenic was a great rat killer at the time. There is also battery acid from the battery cells in the ground. one ex employee stated " Acids from cell shop oil's grease. I think a lot of this was flushed into the canal between the blackboard bridge and the station bridge many times I have seen smelly multiple and frothy coloured water flowing from the various outlets in outlet pipes" so you are going to have god knows how many houses also close to this water which could still hold some of the gross stuff in the water. Knowing the sort cuts St Modwen have done on the Lidl job and other jobs else where in the uk which have not been done correctly and reports gone missing etc I fear for wolverton and the people living within the town. I fear i will cost St Modwen so much money to clear the site and dig out the soil to be replaced with new fresh clean soil i fear they will not do it and just build on the land and concrete it to cap it off.
