In July 2017 a building that housed an office and some toilets was illegally demolished by st modwen. The building was built in the late 1940c and was within the conservation area which means permission must be granted before an demolition takes place. I notified the councils planning office to this demolition and it was investigated. Modwen said that they was sorry and this was done in "error" After requesting documents about the asbestos for the site it was uncovered that said building had a demolition survey done and asbestos was found within the toilets in that end of the Building. But st modwen did not know the building had come down? So who ordered the demolition survey who paid for the asbestos removal?. This all came to light in February of this year so since then I have been emailing the councils planning department for the demolition survey as part of the case to save the works from demolition. I have no luck in getting the survey no one from the council is willing to help. The environmental health dept who said about the survey said it is real but they have not seen it or own a copy. With the council being so distant and not willing to help in this request I can only believe that the survey don't not exist which damages my case some what. If it does exist then they have been told not to hand it to me.
