St modwen are being investigated again this time over the demolition of the works wall. A section of the works wall has been demolished to allow access into the lidl store the wall stands at 3 meters but the conservation office has said that if the wall has to altered in any way then it can be reduced in height to 2.1 meters high and near to were the entrance will be it can be 1.1 meters highs no lower. The town council as well as myself have been contracted the conservation officer to raise concerns that the wall as been reduced to low a feel like it is not what was agreed on. I must stress that the conservation officer did not want the touched in any away but was told a crossing has to in and the wall opened up due to people not using the exiting cross less than 100 yards away. if people are that lazy then tough is the way i see it. After talking to us the conservation officer has now agreed to have this investigated and checked but even he said looking at photo's it looks to be to low. Even though Modwen will get away with it again it all helps as the whole application of the site could be up for a JR at the high court london
