I have been asking st modwen why they have not been maintaining the old workshops on site as they have a legal duty of care as landlords and should be maintaining the buildings by law just as private landlords do on their rented homes Now ever i got this email today which states in a nut shell Knorr-bremse lease the site so it's down to them Dear Philip, We have advised you on a number of occasions that Knorr-Bremse have a lease for the whole of Wolverton Works and as such have responsibility for its maintenance, security and all associated matters. Knorr-Bremse took over these responsibilities from Alstom (and in turn Railcare) in 2013 when they took an assignment of Alstom’s lease. Works (including pointing) are to be carried out to that part of the Stratford Road wall that extends to the front of the site for the food store. Works to the remainder of the wall will be done as part of the next phase of our regeneration plans. Regards Gary Morris
