The Village Hall in Wold Newton, Lincolnshire is under threat. The Diocese of Lincoln plan to sell it in December 2022. We've been tenants since 1990 but they won't keep leasing the building to us because they want to sell it to make money. 

We host regular events in the Hall, and over the years it has been a home for pre-school education, arts, music, health, Church and civic happenings. We run a really successful volunteer tearoom in the hall on Sundays which attracts walkers, runners, cyclists and visitors from all over the area. 

No Hall, No Events!

If we lose the Hall, we have no accessible community building in the village. No shops, no pub, just a phone box and a Church up a steep grassy hill. It's a beautiful village, and our Hall is the place we use for celebrations, funerals and the place we can welcome the world.

Signing this petition tells the Diocese of Lincoln that we want to remain a thriving, welcoming village. Our Hall helps us pay for the upkeep of our Church.
