The Post Office has announced that over 100 crown branches, including our own on Peascod Street, could be at risk of closure. This puts many jobs at risk in Windsor and nationally. 

The Post Office plays an important role in Windsor, more than merely selling stamps. For many, it is vital for cash withdrawals, deposits, access to passports, and foreign currency exchange. 

For some elderly or isolated people, the friendly staff at Peascod Street could be one of the only interactions they have.

With many banks closing in and around the town centre, the potential closure of our Post Office would be a big blow and force residents to travel to other towns for the services required.

That is why we, Windsor Labour, are calling on Post Office Executives to rethink their decision and stop the Peascod Street branch from closing.
