We are a group of students trying to save our classroom pets in Biology. These animals are vital to teaching students who have constantly had content digitized and lost a true connection to the living world.

A living biological collection has been resoundingly found by the National Association of Biology Teachers to provide “enriched, meaningful learning experiences. The involvement of students in first- hand interactions with living animals provides opportunities for increased understanding of content knowledge, the care of living organisms, and appreciation for the value of life.... Teachers are the primary role model of respect for living and preserved specimens used in the classroom and for the conservation of organisms both in the classroom and in the field.”

Please help us save our pets by encouraging the administration to value interactions with live animals.
