Senate releases interim report into The Management of Defence estate assets.

The Senate Committee reviewing the management of Defence estate assets released an interim report today.

The committee made 11 recommendations and most importantly "recommends that the Australian Government immediately  halt the mass divestment program of Australia’s foundational Defence estate 
and the work of the Defence Estate Audit divestment program, until a proper public consultation process is completed, and legislative checks and balances are in place ...."
