Who is impacted?

Tens of thousands of innocent people that went for help to a psychiatrist and were never warned of a phenomenon called Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction (PSSD) are now severely sad, depressed, grieving and dying by suicide not out of depression but because their bodies have been injured by government approved antidepressants without any warning whatsoever and that is causing the grief.

The possiblity of such phenomenon is not disclosed to patients who can't possibly imagine that whenever they take an antidepressant (SSRI) there exists the possibility that ANY of the so called "side effects" of SSRIs can seemingly indefinitely continue to be experienced even years after discontinuation of the drug and having ingested as little as one single SSRI pill in many cases.

Even one single pill can cause injuries that apparently can last a life-time in some cases. Currently no agency has taken responsibility for the lack of warnings, let alone the lives already lost to this highly cruel phenomenon.

What is a stake?

The quality of life and lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent people whose only "crime" was to trust the government funded health institutions deeming these drugs as safe when they certainly are not safe in hundreds of thousands of cases to date.

The trust on health institutions is also at stake. The more this phenomenon is known the more the public will want to know why there are no proper warnings about it and why victims are left to fend for themselves when they were severely injured by government approved drugs to begin with.

Currently there is no major ongoing research to at least provide some kind of satisfactory answer to the phenomenon and to provide eventual mercy for these countless victims by developing an effective medication capable of ceasing the prolonged side effects that continue to be experienced even after years of discontinuing treatment with SSRIs.

Why is now the time to act?

The phenomenon known as PSSD has been known for decades, with no effective  treatment for victims. How many more victims do we need? Some don't believe it's even real since the continuation of side effects symptoms can't seemingly easily be explained by science. Yet this doesn't mean that with the right effort, the right funding, the right scientists in charge of the research an explanation to the phenomenon can be eventually found and therefore a medication that can reverse this cruel phenomenon be developed and given to the unfortunate victims.

A lot of these victims don't want justice anymore, all they want is mercy. 

Currently there are some online communities where victims gather in hopes of some kind of answer or simply to vent suicidal thoughts brought by the phenomenon. Suicidal thoughts that in many cases were not experienced ever before because there was no injury brought up by consumption of an SSRI.

Human being: can you imagine living with a horrible side effect that doesn't seem to disappear even when there's been years since you took the drug that caused it? Can you imagine not being warned whatsoever of said possibility before taking the drug? Can you imagine such devastating possible phenomenon not even being written in bold letters on the bottle of the drug as a means to at least let the patient decide whether to take the drug or not after knowing this at times life-or-death information?

Please sign the petition so the government of your country funds research to develop a medication against this devastating and horrible phenomenon known as PSSD, where not only sexual but any side effect can seemingly persist even after discontinuation of the SSRI.

Let's handle mercy from such nightmare to our many, many of our brothers and sisters that are currently living in, when their only "crime" was ask for help to a psychiatrist for another ailment that is now desirable in comparison.

Let's have a heart, let's have mercy upon these souls and sign it in the hopes that an actual change for the victims of this medical negligence and disaster can be realized.
