We the undersigned petition the council to immediately pause the proposed sale of Thomas Colledge House in Bolsover on the 28th October 2026 and undertake a full public consultation on the future of the site.
This petition calls on the Council to:

1. Pause the auction and any proposed sale of Thomas Colledge House.
2. Carry out a full public consultation with local residents, community organisations, health providers and stakeholders.
3. Publish the options that were considered before deciding to dispose of the site.
4. Actively explore bringing Thomas Colledge House back into use as a care facility, helping to meet local care needs and supporting vulnerable residents within our community.
5. Consider alternative public, health, wellbeing and community uses if a care home reopening is not immediately viable.
6. Ensure local people are given a genuine voice in determining the future of this important community asset.
