PETITION TO SAVE THE WOOD DUCKS AND THEIR BABIES

We, the undersigned, respectfully demand that the proposed pool repairs and eviction of the innocent wood duck family currently residing in our pool be immediately suspended.

A mother and her babies have chosen this pool as their temporary home. They did not ask to be here. They did not understand that humans had plans for the property. They simply arrived, settled in, and entrusted us with their safety. Now their peaceful existence is under threat from one man, one toolbox, and an alarming determination to make the pool functional again.

We must ask ourselves: has humanity really become so impatient that we cannot spare a little time for a mother and her babies?

The pool can be repaired. The tiles can be cleaned. The pumps can be fixed. These things will still be here tomorrow. But these ducklings will not remain tiny forever. Their little lives are unfolding before our eyes, and once they leave, this extraordinary chapter will be over.

We therefore call upon all compassionate members of the household, neighbours, friends, family members, duck enthusiasts, and anyone with a functioning heart to SIGN THIS PETITION and stand with us.

Let the ducks stay.

Let the babies grow.

Let nature have her moment.

And, most importantly, LET THE MAN PUT DOWN THE TOOLS.

History may not remember who fixed the pool in September 2026. But it may remember the people who stood together and said: “Not on our watch.”
