The Woman Centre in Woking has been an invaluable sanctuary for countless women, including me. It has provided a safe haven and unwavering support during some of the most challenging times in my life. I can say with all sincerity that their assistance has saved my life numerous times.

This centre serves as an essential resource for women from all walks of life, offering a place of refuge, learning, and empowerment. Services range from counselling, legal advice, job seeking assistance, to support groups and educational workshops. These services are not just beneficial; they are life-changing, helping women regain their independence, confidence, and dignity.

Recently, there have been threats of budget cuts and potential closure, which puts this vital community resource at risk. In a town like Woking, where many women depend on the services offered by the Women Centre, its closure would have devastating consequences.

We have a choice and a chance to prevent this from happening. We must rally together and advocate for sustained funding and support for the Woman Centre. We can appeal to local government officials and community leaders to recognize the vital role this centre plays not only in the lives of individual women but in the fabric of our community as a whole.
