For over a quarter of a century, the Sheetz convenience store located at the corner of Wayne Avenue has faithfully served thousands of residents living in Indiana, PA. Recently, it was announced that the iconic location would be permanently shut down in July. Sheetz Public Relations Manager Nick Ruffner cited the reason for the close was that the location was "not meeting expectations". 

Despite these egregious claims that the store was unsatisfactory, many residents argue that the store is a keystone of our small town. Along with its economic benefit, Sheetz provided countless jobs to students and entry-level workers. Residents regularly use the store to conveniently grab essential items like a cup of coffee or a jug of milk. Additionally, the store offered an affordable and accessible place to get ready-to-eat food to IUP students with limited options.
