With only five weeks before the High Court trial of the church’s eviction case against the cafe, the Crowdjustice appeal for help has only raised the disappointing sum of £16,216 from 357 donors.

The cafe’s costs of defending the church’s claim have reached £200,000 to date and the cafe urgently needs to raise at least £100,000 to continue its fight.

A  card donation machine installed in the cafe in recent weeks has raised the sum of £1,800 from supporters but it is a small sum compared with the hundreds of visitors the cafe has every week.

So we urge all supporters of this petition who now number more than 16,700 to contribute as much as you can to save our favourite Oxford cafe. Any amount will be welcomed.

And there is no need to pay the 20 per cent contribution that Crowdjustice adds for their own funds. Just delete that addition.
