Wow. We've been blown away by the support and care you have shown our community. From the over 25,000 people who have now signed this petition to save our council estate's tiny gardens to the reams of news coverage our campaign has received, we're hugely grateful to everyone who has shown their support. Thank you.
A recent meeting with Greenwich councillors and officers was constructive, centring on routes to a compromise. While no agreement has yet been reached, the community believes there are many positive ways forward available.
Meanwhile, if you read tomorrow's Guardian you will see an opinion column from Phin Harper, one of our community, who has spoken with some of the country's most senior fire safety specialists for their perspective both on our estate's concerns and the much wider issue of local authorities everywhere imposing heavy-handed new rules in the name of risk management. The link to the online article is here.
Please keep spreading the word about our campaign and in particulate please share Phin's article widely. And if you are on Instagram, please follow Vanbrugh Park Estate for news and updates at www.instagram.com/vanbrughparkestate
Thank you, the residents of Vanbrugh Park Estate
