The SNWA denied saving the turf on the slopes at the Lakes, as they consider the grass non functional by their definition since the grade of some of the slopes exceeds 25%. An appeal against the decision was voted against by the WSCA board.  As a result, the grass will begin to be killed with chemical applications starting very soon and the area will be converted to whatever design the HOA board approves.  The loss of use, destruction to the environment and devastation to the area won't be known until it's too late and the damage is already done. 

Prepare to take your pets and children to other areas for enjoyment and exercise as this area will become a chemical laden construction zone this summer.
