I recently got news that my Grandmother has plans to cut down this tree and I am extremely disheartened by this. This tree has been apart of my life since the day I was born. When I was 3 years old I climbed to the tippy top, growing up this was home base for “Hide and go Seek”, and later under the tree was the hangout spot for the kids on the block! This tree is LIFE. It gives LIFE! What once was a little 4ft Christmas Tree grew to be this Giant! I love this Tree. I want my Grandmother to understand that this tree is more than just Shade but a staple amongst our community. Save my Tree so it can be our Tree! ❤️�

And if not for me do it for the environment:

1. Trees are important for human life. They give us oxygen and called Green Gold.
2. Trees play an important role in photosynthesis by converting solar energy into chemical energy.
3. Trees take carbon dioxide and release oxygen.
4. They are also the source of fuelwood, charcoal etc.
5. They prevent soil erosion. Trees reduce pollution.
6. Deforestation is an important world issue. The government plants thousands of trees during Van Mahotsav every year.
7. Every year in July we plant trees on this day.
8. Trees are the reason for good rainfall. 
9. They provide us with shade during the summary. It gives us cool and fresh air.
10. Trees give us fruits, used as medicine.
