🕷️ SAVE THE SPIDER HOUSE! 🎃

Help Keep Oran Park’s Halloween Haunted House Walkthrough Alive! ❤️

Firstly, I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for all the love and support we’ve received over the past few days. I honestly never imagined that sharing something so heartbreaking to me would reach so many people, let alone have people from all over Australia showing their support. ❤️

So many of you have been reaching out, offering advice and asking me to start a petition. I wasn’t too sure whether to go down that path at first, but I’ve been reading through your messages and taking everything on board. Seeing how many of you genuinely care about The Spider House and want to help us keep it going has honestly meant more to me than I can explain.

So, after listening to so many of you, I’ve decided to give it a go. I don’t know what the outcome will be, but I know how much this means to me, and seeing how much it means to so many of you makes me want to do everything I can even more to keep it alive.

I intend to meet directly with Camden Council, where I hope to present this petition along with your comments and personal experiences, so they can see firsthand just how much The Spider House means to the people who visit and support it. ❤️

What started as a love for Halloween has grown into something far bigger than I could ever have imagined.

Every year, I pour countless hours, creativity, hard work and my own money into bringing The Spider House – Sezzarella’s Spider Lair to life, all for one simple reason: to bring happiness, excitement and unforgettable memories to families.

We don’t sell tickets. We don’t charge admission. We do this purely for the love of it and the joy it brings to others. ❤️

While The Spider House began as an outdoor Halloween display, it has grown into so much more. Our fully themed haunted house walkthrough has become the heart of the experience and the main attraction that so many families and visitors eagerly anticipate each year.

With multiple themed rooms, incredible animatronics, live scare actors and countless surprises, the haunted house is something I spend months planning, building and bringing to life.

It is no longer simply a Halloween display that people come to admire from the street. It is an immersive experience that people travel to visit, return to year after year and willingly line up for hours to enjoy.

While our outdoor display remains a much-loved part of The Spider House, the haunted house walkthrough has become an essential part of its identity and what makes this community tradition so unique.

Unfortunately, we have recently been informed that Camden Council has raised concerns about the continued operation of our haunted house walkthrough, putting its future at risk.

Our petition is therefore specifically asking Camden Council to help preserve the haunted house walkthrough, not simply the outdoor Halloween display.

The thought of losing something I’ve poured so much of my heart into has been absolutely heartbreaking.

The extraordinary outpouring of love, encouragement and support from people not only in our local community, but across Australia, has shown just how much something like this can mean to people.

❤️ What We’re Asking of Camden Council

We recognise the importance of public safety, appropriate approvals and Council regulations, and we are open to working collaboratively with Camden Council to explore a reasonable and achievable way forward.

However, we are asking Camden Council to do more than simply outline the requirements needed to continue operating.

We are asking Council to take an active role in establishing, facilitating and supporting a genuinely achievable and financially sustainable solution that allows our haunted house walkthrough to continue operating safely, without imposing requirements or financial burdens that would make its continuation unrealistic or impossible.

We ask Council to consider all available avenues of assistance, including community grants, sponsorships, eligible fee waivers, funding, resources and other Council-supported arrangements that could help make this possible.

We have already dedicated our own time, money and resources to creating something special for the community. We are simply asking Camden Council to share in that commitment by helping us secure its future.

🕷️ Please Help Save Our Haunted House!

This has never been about making money. It’s about bringing people together, giving families something to look forward to and creating memories that last long after Halloween is over.

Because something created for the community, supported by the community and loved by the community deserves the opportunity to continue having a future.

Please sign and share this petition to help keep our haunted house walkthrough alive!

❤️ Have You Visited The Spider House?

If you’ve visited, we’d love for you to leave a comment when signing, sharing your experience, favourite memories or what The Spider House means to your family.

Your stories will help show Camden Council not just how many people support us, but why this experience means so much to those who have visited.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with us. ❤️🕷️🎃
