This petition is to express our deep concern about the potential closure of the Ontario Science Centre, one of Toronto's most valuable educational resources. The Centre has been a hub of scientific exploration and innovation for over 50 years, and its closure would have a devastating impact on our community.
The Ontario Science Centre has been a place of learning and discovery for generations of Torontonians. Children, families, students, and researchers from all walks of life have benefited from the Centre's hands-on exhibits, interactive programs, and educational resources. The Centre's closure would not only deprive these groups of valuable opportunities to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), but it would also mean the loss of hundreds of jobs for those who work there.
If the Ontario Science Centre closes, it will mean the loss of a vital educational resource for our community. The Centre has played a crucial role in inspiring and nurturing the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. It has also served as a forum for public discussions about the latest scientific discoveries, issues, and controversies. Without the Centre, we risk losing a crucial part of our cultural heritage and intellectual identity.
We believe that now is the time to act to save the Science Centre. With the pandemic's disruption of education and research across the world, the Centre's role as a source of inspiration and learning has become even more critical. By signing this petition and joining the campaign to save the Science Centre, we can send a message to our elected officials and community leaders that we care deeply about our cultural and educational institutions. We urge you to support the Ontario Science Centre and help secure its future for generations to come.
Thank you for your support!

Subject: Please Save the Ontario Science Centre!
Dear [Name of the Representative],
I am writing to express my deep concern about the potential closure of the Ontario Science Centre. It has been a vital educational and cultural resource for over 50 years, and its closure would be a severe blow to our community.
The Science Centre has inspired and educated generations of Torontonians about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Its hands-on exhibits, interactive programs, and educational resources have provided valuable learning opportunities for children, families, students, and researchers from all walks of life.
I and many others in the community are skeptical that the Science Centre's new location will offer anywhere near the same opportunities to learn as the current location.
I urge you to support the Ontario Science Centre and help secure its future. The Centre is not only an essential educational resource, but also a source of inspiration and pride for our city. Its closure would be a significant loss for our community's cultural and intellectual identity.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.
Sincerely,
