Save the Rosny Skate Park

Save the Rosny Skate Park
The issue
The Rosny Skate Park is under threat due to the proposed construction of a new AFL/AFLW High Performance Centre.
The skate park is visited regularly by a diverse range of individuals including young children, families, school students and rate-paying residents who skateboard, scooter, bike-ride and play.
It is also one of the largest skate parks in southern Tasmania, both in terms of surface area and course complexity, and, the only one of its size in the Clarence Council area.
It stands to be a large loss to the skate community if it is removed as part of the proposed new development.
The park promotes physical activity and fosters social connections among its visitors, contributing significantly to their health and well-being.
The proposed development threatens to disrupt this vibrant community hub without providing an equivalent replacement for its users. We believe that the benefits provided by the skate park are invaluable and should be preserved for future generations.
We urge local authorities to reconsider their plans for development or provide suitable alternatives that will continue to serve our diverse community in similar ways. Please sign this petition if you support preserving the Rosny Skate Park.
Refer to the Clarence Council website for more information on the proposed development:
