INVITING ALL PERSONAL SUBMISSIONS OF STORIES/PHOTOS RELATING TO ENGAGEMENT OR AFFILIATIONS WITH THE ROBINVALE HOTEL

My deepest and most heartfelt thanks go out to each and individual who has so far shown support on this Change Petition.

Above I have attached the photo of her in all of her architectural beauty - image taken from the arch aspect of Caix Memorial Archway.  In this image in but a small way my own ties to the site are linked with the inclusion of a very distinguishable family white Ford Falcon, driven by my Grandmother Lorraine Courtney (nee Bettess) at the time of the Allom Lovell heritage study into our broader region.

With a huge smile on face I was able to see a connection to my beloved Nanna Rainey; widely celebrated by those who were patrons of the pub for years. With memories of helping with turn downs of upstairs rooms, being paid in Red Fanta with cocktail umbrella or playing out the back of the dining room like many children before I.

At 29 reflection on identity and belonging frames action, and like those who descended from the same settlement before us once more historically it is once more our duty to stand up for our town.

The hotel served as a community hub while accounts found from the Cultivator, Sunraysia Daily and other historic articles found it to be a place where historically had served the town. With accounts identifying at the time it serving us through missteps made by the shire when establishing necessary infrastructure for the settlement.

The very fabric of the township was conceived as a living memorial — a symbol of unity born from service and sacrifice, designed to sustain civic life and intergenerational connection.

Any signatories so far are invited to share comments / photos they may have of 70 Perrin St Robinvale (the Robinvale hotel) from over the years to not only further celebrate its rich history but emphasise its deep cultural impact in the region.

I will also be sending an article discovered from the 1950s inline with subsequent extensions on site reflecting the development boom and “growing pains” reflected in the article for general enjoyment.

Your support is seen; and signatures deeply appreciated.

With Gratitude,

Anniemae Goldring of Robinvale
