The Board of Supervisors meets on September 22nd to discuss whether to grant a demolition permit to the school board. Plan to be there to speak, if you're able. Otherwise, reach out directly to members of the BOS and school board members, as well. Even if the demolition permit is denied, the fate of Pocahontas is still uncertain unless and until the school board either repairs it for further school use or turns over ownership to the county.
