Our beloved community pub, the Park Tavern, is currently being threatened with closure.

From weekly pub quizzes and sports screenings, to free activities for local children and parents, the Park Tavern is a welcoming space for all members of the community.

Since 2024, the Park Tavern has been under the new management of MFM Pub Group Ltd, who have steered the pub from strength to strength, invested more than £150,000 in restoring the building, and made the Park Tavern into the community pub it is today. Despite this, the pub's freeholder, Star Pubs & Bars / Heineken UK, has made it difficult for them to operate, threatened possession proceedings and demanded the pub is vacated by 5 August 2026

Pubs in the UK are under threat. 175 pubs have been lost in the last 12 months according to the Campaign For Real Ale. Nearby to the Park Tavern, on Putney High Street and in Wandsworth Town, pub buildings have sat empty for many years. We do not want to risk this happening to our pub when it is serving members of the local community well.
