Petition Signatories & their Reasons for Signing:

Brian Kakuk

Bahamas Caves Research Foundation

“As the founder of the Bahamas Caves Research Foundation, I hope the developers can be persuaded to choose another location. Mexico's Tren Maya has been a disaster destroying many world-class diving and scientifically significant underwater caves. I hope this project does not follow suit. I've had the honor of experiencing these amazing underground treasures near the Southern Ocean myself and it would be the epitome of human arrogance to destroy such ancient and fragile cultural resource.”

Rick Coles

Past President, the Canadian Cave Conservancy

“Karst is a unique sensitive ecosystem and must be saved at all costs.”

Sally Newham

“Because this water and landscape is sacred and precious and it’s time that industrialism in our sacred places is completely forbidden.”

Simon Miller

“I’m a traditional owner and would love to preserve this beautiful place for our future generations”

Narelle Patterson

“This is a magnificent natural wonder. It cannot be lost to indigenous people or the rest of humanity because of greed.”

Kevan Wilde

“The Nullarbor is a geomorphological treasure of karst features & caves of global significance warranting World Heritage Area status.”

Evan Shapley

“The Nullarbor really is a sacred site, for all races of Australians.”

Mark Corbett

It is evident that even with the best of intentions the scale of the Western Green Energy hub development will permanently damage the Nullarbor both above and below the ground. For many of the sound cultural, environmental and heritage reasons already outlined by others I am supporting this petition.”

Susan Rhodes

“Enough is Enough of destruction!”
