To: NHS Integrated Care Board, Local MPs, Councillors, and the Department of Health

We, the undersigned, call on decision-makers to stop the planned closure of NHS Long Covid Clinics across the UK.

These clinics provide lifesaving support for people suffering from the long-term effects of Covid-19, enabling them to manage their symptoms, maintain employment, and improve their quality of life. The multidisciplinary team—including GPs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social prescribers, and rehabilitation specialists—has been a crucial resource for those who would otherwise have nowhere to turn.

The closure of these clinics on March 31st would be devastating to thousands of patients who rely on their services. Without them:

Many people with Long Covid will be left without any medical or rehabilitation support.

Patients' ability to work and/or care for themselves and/or their families will be severely impacted.

The knowledge and expertise built within these clinics will be lost, setting back research and understanding of Long Covid.

With no clear alternative plan for patients, we demand that the NHS and the Government reverse this decision immediately and commit to long-term funding for these vital clinics.
