Good afternoon!

The numbers keep climbing which is wonderful! Whether you are currently serving, a veteran, retiree, family member or someone who supports military veterans, THANK YOU for signing and sharing! We want to keep the Bay Area more affordable for our military veterans and keep our FANTASTIC commissary crew working!

I talked to a few of you yesterday, so if you are new here, welcome! I was actually surprised by how many did NOT know about the commissary losing its lease to NASA in 2027. The amount of “Really???” and “Oh no!” statements I heard…the news is not widespread enough yet.

What’s even more unbelievable is that there are also veterans in the Bay Area who don't even know that the commissary still exists! So what can you do? Keep on sharing!!!! (As suggested by another person, I’d also like to know if our commissary participates in any resource fairs for veterans or if other local veteran organizations are promoting the commissary to our local vets.)

One organization that is AMAZING in their support of soldiers and veterans is Operation Care and Comfort. They offer free tickets to Bay Area games, concerts, etc. They also pack care packages for military members overseas. If you are ever looking for a worthy organization that supports our military community where you can donate your time and/or money, OCC is it!
