Effective April 8th, 2023 Go Transit has stopped with direct buses to Union Station on the Milton Line. It has made it inconvenient for students and working individuals who commute daily on this line for late morning and afternoon classes and/or shifts. By rerouting the buses it adds an additional 30 minutes at some stations to the commute for those who only have to be in class for 1-3 hours it makes the commute longer than the classes! It is of great inconvenience, that does not benefit the working class that already struggles with high transit fees. Additionally those who want to make it home faster in the evening are now faced with an hour getting to a station like Clarkson or Port Credit and still being half hour or further away from their homes. It is a very popular line that is also used after entertainment events in Toronto and the lack of consideration for the users of the Milton line is evident.
