As a passionate Melbourne Rebels rugby supporter, I was gutted to hear that the Rebels were kicked out of Super Rugby. The Melbourne Rebels have been an integral part of our community since their inception in 2011, providing countless memories and fostering local talent. Their presence in Super Rugby has not only promoted the sport in Victoria but also inspired young athletes to pursue their dreams, by creating junior grassroots.

The decision to remove them from Super Rugby affects players, staff, the whole team behind the rebels, and fans alike. It's more than just a team; it's a symbol of our city's dedication to rugby. Did you know that in South Africa they have 17 teams in there local competition, if you have been following rugby you will probably know that South Africa are a great team. Taking out a team in Australian rugby competition just makes rugby here weaker not stronger, as it limits the talent stage for players.
